How we calculate

Hijri dates

We use the Umm al-Qura calendar, Saudi Arabia's official calendar. Our conversion matched the official Umm al-Qura converter (KACST) for 126 dates and every month length from 1440 to 1460 AH. Ramadan and Eid stay "expected" until they are announced after the moon sighting.

Prayer times

Each country's official method: Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in the UAE, and the ministries of Awqaf in Qatar and Oman. Checked against their official 2026 timetables, over 5,000 days in 20 cities: every time within one minute, except five times in Hail and Tabuk on 15–16 September (2 minutes), where the official table repeats a time for two or three days and then jumps, while sunset moves about a minute a day. Kuwait and Bahrain are not published until we can check them against an official timetable.

Calculators

Each calculator states its rule and source. The UAE gratuity calculator follows Article 51 of Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (with Article 67 for a day's pay). Health calculators are for information only and are not medical advice.

Hasbeli is not an official source; the authority's decision is final.
